It is both, the best, and the worst.

This game shows integrity, and never at any point pretends to be something it is not. It is an indie game and one I enjoy.

Graphics

Not very good, but good enough. What I really wish is that the graphics had a setting that would allow me to alternate between “Shotgun FunFun Legacy” and the current graphics setup now. The graphics from “Shotgun FunFun Legacy” can even be improved upon, so long as the shapes of the main character and demons don’t change. This could be a nice touch, having “original graphics” installed.

Side note: I appreciate the anti-gore setting, because I do know some people who dislike gore, and this allows me to share the game with them. I do wish that there was a replacement of some sort, as the blood marks across the wall are a confirmation that I have hit my target. If there was a non-gory way to portray this, I could disable gore without losing any functionality within the gameplay.

Sound

Terrible really, but the game is still under development. For that reason, I’m not overly critical on the sound.

Gameplay

Amazing! The gameplay here is addictive and pulls me in as a player, but there are a few things that do take away from the gameplay. The anti-camping feature that kills you if you’re camping is a temporary solution I’m sure, but one that does take away from the gameplay.

Story

Quite hilarious, this is one of the many reasons I enjoy the game. It could be expanded on I’m sure. I also think there should be a way to reopen the story in the pause menu.

User Interface

Not terrible, but I feel like something was really left out here. During gameplay, the only user interface I have is in a very small left-hand corner. If I run low on health, it is difficult to read. Furthermore, the menu doesn’t allow you to reopen the story, and seems again, like something is missing.

Community

This game should be a community game, it is developed by an indie team and I think a community wiki could be applicable. I also think High Scores should include local and online high scores. I want to see how my gameplay stacks up against others.

In conclusion, this game is missing a lot - but is a free indie game with great gameplay. I would love to support the development of this game anyway I can.
